Summary: A waiter named Rob O’Conner takes over as manager of a restaurant after his predecessor dies, and he has to deal with the responsibilities the position brings.
Where Marty’s Restaurant Comes From:
My pal Jake Witterschein worked as a busboy for a period of time and liked the idea of having a sitcom about a restaurant manager who had an apathetic boss. I thought an idea like this would be a good vehicle for wacky comic antics. One of my favorite sitcoms is Father Ted and that’s the type of humor I’d like for this show to have. I’ve written a couple of other episodes of Marty’s Restaurant and will in all likelihood revise and post them here at a later date.
